Edward was a journalist and an environmentalist in Latin America before working his way up the film industry from an intern at Heyday Films to development work for government funds and production companies including British Screen, Creative Scotland, Irish Film Board, Film Consortium, Rome's Eagle Pictures and Sweden's Filmpool Nord.



His short "Getting Around to Brighton" was broadcast on Meridian South and his full-length screenplays have been shortlisted for numerous international prizes, including Script Pipeline as a finalist and the long list of the Premio Solinas.



He has taught on BA and MA screenwriting courses at the London Film Academy and London Film School and is currently module leader at the Central Film School. He has been involved in the production of over 300 short films and his students have gone on to win numerous awards, including an Oscar for Best Live Action Short 2016 (Ben Cleary's "Stutterer").



His original script, Scottish thriller "At the Break of Day" was developed at the Mediterranean Film Institute and was optioned by The Content Providers who are currently attaching a director.



He is currently writing "The Last Anniversary" for IZM productions and "The Head of the Race" for Argentina's CEPA.
